Importance of Landing Page Quality Score 0

Importance of Landing Page Quality Score

I have a client that had a landing page with a very low Google Quality Score and it was costing us a fortune to keep traffic flowing to that page. So in an effort to increase Quality Scores and improve the landing page I did a 12 hour test.

Google Quality Score

Google Quality Score

Step 1 – I created a new landing page with the same content but also added content from Google Health and Wikipedia below the original content.
Step 2 – I made a copy of all the keywords and ads from the Old Ad Group and create a New Ad Group
Step 3 – I put the same $5 bids on both ad groups and let them fight it out. Just like another competitor in the same space.
Step 4 – I let the test run overnight to prove ‘Content is King’.

Results:

  • New Ad Group – 4224 impressions – 54 clicks – 1.28% CTR – $3.08 CPC
  • Old Ad Group – 334 impressions – 3 clicks – 0.90% CTR – $4.51 CPC

Summary:

  • 13x more impressions
  • 18x more clicks
  • 42% better click rate (because of the higher Quality Score)
  • 65% increase in Quality Score(2.25 to 3.72)
  • 46% decrease in COST

PPC Today and SEO Later 0

Many business think they can just jump straight into SEO – Search Engine Optimization and move a bunch of their keywords to the first page of Google, Yahoo or Bing. Other SEO businesses will let you believe this is true as well and take your money. However, the point many folks miss is will the search keywords work for your business???

PPC vs SEOIf you are a dentist in Washington DC, maybe you think the best term to SEO is “Washington Dentist”. Maybe it is or maybe it isn’t but if you spend thousands of dollars and months of work getting this term to the first page of Google you would expect results. What if it doesn’t convert? What if the majority of the visitors bounce off of your site and go back to searching for another Dentist? Maybe “DC Dentist” is better. Maybe “Washington Teeth Cleaning”. How about just “teeth cleaning” and geo target only users in the Washington DC metro area?

The answer is we just don’t know unless you test. This is why PPC – Pay Per Click is so vital to any online marketing campaign. It gives you a chance to test out thousands of search terms and see which ones are getting you the best results. Think of it as renting the search terms for a month or two to see which ones perform for you. Then and only then should you make the effort to build an SEO campaign.

I hope this makes sense. We try to make search simple by providing not just PPC or SEO services but an array of services we call Search Advertising Optimization – Search Made Simple. If you are interested in finding out how we can help your business please contact us. For more information contact us at: info (at) eruptr.com or fill out our Contact Eruptr form.

Google Fun Fact – 1000 searches in a blink of an eye… 0

Nielsen calculates about 10 Billion searches a month in the US alone.
Google owns 66.1% of the search market. The breakdown is this:

Monthly: 6.6 Billion searches
Daily: 220 Million
Hourly: 9.16 Million
Minute: 152.6 K
Second: 2,544

So 2,500 searches a second in the US alone. Literally, in a blink of an eye Google handles 1,000 search requests.Google 2500 searches a second

Why does ERUPTR use Google?

The power of Google. Search Marketing already outpaces Display Advertising by 2x, according to Forrester Research. If you aren’t using Google to advertise, you are missing a huge segment of the marketing pie. Oh and a more simple fact, you only pay when a user clicks your ad, unlike traditional marketing.

Search Advertising Optimization 0

What is Search Advertising Optimization?

Is it SEO – Search Engine Optimization? Is it Search Engine Marketing – SEM?

Search Advertising Optimization is a combination of various internet web marketing strategies. The primary focus is to increase ROI.

Eruptr is an online web marketing firm that focuses on search engine marketing and optimization. Our primary focus is to increase the Audience for Political Advocacy Groups, Public Affairs, Hospitals, Doctors and Non-Profits. We offer performance based solutions that generate 3-4 times the click rates (visitors) and traffic over a traditional banner campaign for the same cost. This is done by creating highly targeted dynamic search advertisements within Google, Yahoo and Bing that target the user at the exact “Golden Moment” of search. The proven results are more engaged users and lower overall campaign costs.

We increase your Audience: Patients – Supporters – Voters – Donors
